Carrying my baby go shopping or strolling is a nice thing to do but have some precautions on how I am going to carry my baby comfortably. Yes, baby stroller could be a big help but not all times. Especially if you are going to a place where stroller is uncomfortable to use like crowded area or riding a bus. Because of this, I bought baby carrier and baby sling. I tried both so that I can get a better review, and I notice some visible comparison between baby sling and front-backpack baby carrier.

Comparisons:
1.) Baby sling and baby carrier are both convenient to use. It helps me carry other things in my hands rather than carrying the baby alone.
2.) Baby sling is suitable to use while feeding my baby.
3.) Baby carrier balance the weight of the baby in both shoulders so carrying is lighter than baby sling in which the weight is on one side only.
4.) Baby sling is properly fitted to newborn babies because the neck of the baby is properly supported while sleeping and legs will not be forcefully wide open.
5.) Baby sling and carrier are both versatile. They have a different carrying position in your preference.

I sited above the comparisons based on my experience wearing it with my baby so choosing whether which one to buy depends on which are you more convenient. But, I would recommend to use baby sling or sarong for newborn babies and baby carrier for babies 6 months up to the reasonable weight of the carrier you bought. Baby sling is still useful to 6 months baby up to 20 kilograms baby (See specification to be sure of the suggested weight). However, I have seen that it is more comfortable to use baby carrier during those times so that the baby weight will be balance in both shoulders.

In addition, carefully read and follow the instruction manual on how to use both for the safety of your baby. Just like my experience, using it for the first time seems awkward. I suggest that you use stuff toys or big doll as a sample before you try it to your baby. It is also good if you can buy the product with enclosed video demonstration for easy practice.
