Suman Moron Ingredients:

Vanilla Mixture (White Part of the Suman)

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Chocolate Mixture:

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 1 cup chopped roasted peanuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Prepare Cleaned Banana Leaves.

Suman Moron Cooking Procedures:

Vanilla Mixture (White Part of the Suman)

1.) Mix the rice flour, glutinous rice flour and sugar. Mix it properly.

2.) Add coconut milk and vanilla.

3.) In low heat, simmer the mixture. Stir it regularly until sticky dough forms.

4.) Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

Chocolate Mixture:

1.) Mix the rice flour, glutinous rice flour, brown sugar and cocoa powder. Mix it properly.

2.) Add the coconut milk and vanilla.

3.) In low heat, simmer the mixture. Stir it regularly until sticky dough forms.

Placing Together:

1.) Heat the banana leaves.

2.) Divide the mixture or use a scope and place it to the banana leaves.

3.) Gently roll it inside the leaves to look longer. Tie the ends of the leaves with a string or part of the banana leaves.

4.) Do the same to all the remaining mixture.

5.) Place the rolled mixture to the steamer and steam it for 30 minutes (low heat).

6.) Transfer to a plate to cool down. Serve with your favorite drinks.
