My baby has running nose and cough (Disudrin & Ambroxol)

My daughter got a running nose and I suspected she got the virus when she’s acquainted with people who has it too. Her nose keeps on dripping and she got this teary eyes expression. I consulted her pediatrician and given her Disudrin (1ml every 6 hours).

2.5mg / 0.5 mg per ml Syrup (Oral Drops) Nasal Decongestant , Antihistamine

Disudrin Indications: For the relief of clogged nose, runny nose, itchy watery eyes and sneezing associated with the common cold, upper airway cough syndrome (postnatal drip syndrome) allergic rhinitis, and other minor respiratory tract infections. It also helps decongest sinus openings and passages.

She was able to consume the 10ml bottle Disudrin for 3 days and I got better result with the medicine… However, after the clogged nose sickness. She got her cough…

The pediatrician gave her Ambroxol Syrup (2.5 ml – 3 x a day)

Mucolytic

Ambroxol Indications:  Acute and chronic disorders of the respiratory tract associated with pathologically thickened mucus and impaired mucus transport.

Thank god, she got better with the medicines she took.

Note: Always consult a doctor when giving medicine to your child. The dosage varies depending on the age and weight of your child.

>> SECOND POST UPDATE – My second baby has signs of watery nose  SIPON AND COUGH AT 2 MONTHS OLD – instead of giving decongestant, I used Salinase to clean the nose.
